Starting pitcher Chad Hurst pitched well enough to help the Minnesota Twins beat the Texas Rangers, 7-4. Hurst, now 3-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 12, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.

Michael Crouss, the fan favorite , had a direct impact on the outcome. Crouss contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Minnesota up, 4-1.
