Reds Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Reds grabbed a win, 3-2, at Great American Ball Park, overcoming a fine effort from St. Louis pitcher Kenny Jacobs. Jacobs went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Cincinnati reliever Tom MacVail picked up the win to move to 5-3. Eitoku Kishita suffered the loss. Cincinnati now has a record of 30-20 with the win.
The Reds procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Ramón García. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
García described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
