The exploits of center fielder Lúcio Rivera, who finished 3rd in the NL in triples with 8 in 2063, helped the Pittsburgh Pirates defeat the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-2. Rivera went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Steve Morris. He's now 4-2.
