New York Win to Pull Even With Chicago
|
With shortstop Pedro Maldonado leading the charge, the New York Yankees got a road win over the Chicago White Sox, 8-2, in Game 2 of the Divisional today. Maldonado went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs at U.S. Cellular Field to help New York force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Félix Gómez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give New York a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Maldonado. "And not try to do too much."
Game 3 is set to be played Wednesday, October 12th, 2050 at New Yankee Stadium in New York. The scheduled starters for the game are Cristián Sánchez for Chicago and Eddie Raymond for New York.
