Wild Card Round Goes the Distance, Cleveland Prevails
The Cleveland Indians are heading to the Divisional, having narrowly defeated the Chicago White Sox.

Cleveland edged Chicago in the series 2-1, with a win at Progressive Field in the clinching game by a 14-2 margin.

Vincent Owens turned in a strong offensive performance for the Indians and got series MVP for his efforts.

"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win."

It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Owens continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.

For the series, he hit .571 with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Cleveland Indians will play against the New York Yankees in the next round. New York had a bye in the Wild Card Round. The Divisional schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Round finishes.\n
