The Rangers grabbed a win, 4-3, at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, overcoming a fine effort from Boston pitcher Paul Martin. Martin went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Rex Frazier. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. A.J Klein closed the door for Texas, picking up his 13th save of the year.
Claudio Valenzuela hit a run-scoring double off Majhemout Yao in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Rangers in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Valenzuela had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Valenzuela told the Texas Today.
The first-place Rangers have won 4 consecutive games.
