Marlins Reel Off Another Win
|
Tampa Bay got a terrific game from third baseman Colt Keeling. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Miami, 10-8. Keeling slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winning continues for Miami, with the latest making it 8 straight.
Had Mike Allen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Allen hit a 2-run single. That made the score 9-8, in favor of the Marlins.
"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Marlins manager Nick Pickard.
