Orioles Come Up Short at New York, 2-1
|
Despite the rain, the fans at New Yankee Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Baltimore Orioles went down to defeat to Ron White and his New York teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Yankees. With the win, the Yankees hiked their record to 48-47.
Guillermo Rodríguez was 1-3 for New York. The fan favorite had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Jeremy Syzmans. It was his 100th hit of the season.
"Runs were at a premium," said New York manager Mac Mckenzie.
