Giants Win 4-3 Walk-Off
|
The San Francisco Giants topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-3, in National League action at Presidio Park. The standout performance belonged to San Francisco pitcher and Aguada, Puerto Rico, native Francisco Mendoza. Raúl Santana, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on no hits. The first-place Dodgers have lost 4 straight games.
Rex Tolmie was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was jumping at the end," Tolmie said.
