Costello Helps New York Cruise to 10-3 Win
The New York Yankees extended their winning streak.

The New York Yankees defeated the Detroit Tigers, 10-3, at New Yankee Stadium today. Leading the charge for New York was catcher José Costello. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Pavlusha Faingauz finished the game for New York and earned his 1st save.

In the bottom of the fifth, Guillermo Rodríguez delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the New York right fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Yankees in front, 10-3.

"I really like what we did out there today," Rodríguez said after the game.
