Nationals Squelch Blue Jays Offense in Shutout Win
|
Left-hander Dan Gallaghe mesmerized the Toronto Blue Jays while leading the Washington Nationals to a 4-0 victory. Washington, at 71-37, is 21½ games up in the National League Southern Division.
Gabriel Chacón, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a .312 batting average, chipped in for Washington with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
