Indians Outmuscle Seattle, 13-10
|
Cleveland and Seattle engaged in a slugfest.
The Seattle Mariners got a superb performance from designated hitter Ed Parker. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Cleveland. The Indians won the game, 13-10. Parker went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Jesús Morán. He's now 29 for 33 in save chances.
Tony Locke, who is on pace for 102 RBI this season, aided the Cleveland cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"This game had a little bit of everything," said Locke.
The loss makes Seattle 40-74.
