Indians Get 7-2 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Cleveland Indians dealt the Seattle Mariners a loss at Pickard Field. The final score was 7-2. Juan Galindo was especially productive for Cleveland. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 triple, he scored 1 run and drove in 2. Mike McCoy earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 3-3. Cleveland has now won 3 straight, while the Mariners have lost 3 in a row.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the sixth when Galindo, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2065 draft, hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Indians into the lead, 4-2.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Cleveland manager Michael Healy.
