Mike Farr never let Minnesota get something going. The Cleveland right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Indians to a 2-0 win. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Indians.

The Indians got an important contribution from designated hitter Cheung Fang, who in the bottom of the third punched a full count fastball into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Indians ahead, 2-0.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Brian Odeja. "That was the problem."
