Tampa Bay Decked by Daikawa, Astros
|
The Houston Astros topped the Tampa Bay Rays, 10-2, with first baseman Jin Daikawa playing a big role. Daikawa was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Astros in the win. With the victory, the Astros upped their record to 63-54.
Daikawa had a key at-bat for Houston early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and gave Houston an early 2-0 lead.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Daikawa.
