Seattle Loses Again, 6-2
|
The Carolina Warhounds picked up a win at Mariner Ballpark, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 6-2. On the mound for Carolina was left-hander Jim Ferrer, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ferrer went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-2. The losses continue to mount for Seattle, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
John Pruitt, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pruitt contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Carolina up, 4-1.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Sean Morgan told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
