García Raps 300th Roundtripper
The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and José García was delighted, too. The 34-year-old Red Sox third baseman was making history with his 300th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when García stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call.

"Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 300 in a 7-2 victory over New York. García went 1-for-4 in the game, had 3 RBI, and scored 1 run.
