Red Sox Deal Yankees 6-3 Defeat
|
César Parra drove in 3 runs to help Boston defeat New York, 6-3. The catcher had 1 double and 1 home run for the Red Sox. Boston reliever Maarten Buys picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Allain took the loss. Boston goes to 2-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Parra put his team in front with his 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came against Henry Knight, made it 4-3, Boston.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Parra. "But I like how we're playing right now."
