Peltier Excels in 5-0 Chicago Win
|
Behind the bravura of left fielder Yan Peltier, the Chicago Cubs topped the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 5-0. Peltier was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Cubs. The Cubs, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Chicago took a 5-0 lead on Peltier's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Henry Knight in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Chicago to the win.
Peltier attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
