Win Makes Washington 17-4
|
Dan Gallaghe was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Washington and Cleveland. The Nationals left-hander helped his team beat the Indians, 3-0. Gallaghe got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Gallaghe allowed no runs. The Nationals, now 17-4, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Iemochi Sasaki, the 28-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sasaki contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Gallaghe.
