Astros Roll to 8-2 Win Over Cardinals
|
Starting pitcher Tokutomi Nakayama was a major factor in the 8-2 Houston Astros triumph over the St. Louis Cardinals. The victory makes Houston 10-11.
The Astros got a big at-bat from catcher Chris Martínez. For the game, Martínez went 1-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Martínez told the Houston Today.
