Robinson Performance to No Avail in 13-6 Indians Loss
|
Mike Robinson had a good game, but he could not keep the Cleveland Indians from falling, 13-6, to the New York Yankees at New Yankee Stadium. The Cleveland second baseman belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice in the loss. The win gives New York a record of 13-13.
The Yankees took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when José Costello banged a two-out single. New York had been trailing 5-4, but Costello hit a first pitch fastball from Andrés Salinas for a 2-run single.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Costello told the New York Chronicle.
