PBL News: First-Year Player Draft
Monday, July 6th , 2071
For players entering the 2071 draft today, there is nothing quite like the anticipation of being picked. And yet, the draft is unsettling to one and all. Almost from the first, things go haywire. Promises and mock drafts go up the chimney. To the young rookie, the pressure ends upon his selection, if only for a short interlude before reality sets in. Atlanta, New York, Seattle, Oakland and Chicago are the first five teams to pick this year. BNN has predicted these players to be among the first ten selected:
1. Juan Morales, 22 year-old CF out of college. 2. Shawn Anderson, 18 year-old 1B out of high-school. 3. Bill Parker, 21 year-old LHP out of college. 4. Mark Myers, 18 year-old 1B out of high-school. 5. Tom Lewis, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school. 6. Francisco Madrid, 18 year-old CF out of high-school. 7. Aaron Walker, 22 year-old 2B out of college. 8. Carlos Sánchez, 21 year-old LF out of college. 9. Larry McKinney, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school. 10. Cris Padilla, 21 year-old RHP out of college.
