Norfolk-Rochester Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, August 23rd , 2070 If there wasn't a history between Norm Hobbs of Norfolk and John Hamilton of Rochester, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Hobbs said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season Hobbs has hit at a .193 clip and produced 39 RBI, 12 home runs and 41 runs. Hamilton has posted a 7-5 record for the year with a 4.10 ERA. Teams are hitting .241 against him and he has rung up 122 strikeouts in 112 innings. |
