2-Game Suspension for Barker Thursday, May 28th , 2071 Lehigh Valley will not have the services of shortstop Harlan Barker for several days. The league commissioner has suspended him for 2 games for arguing a third strike call. The altercation occurred in yesterday's contest with the Indianapolis Indians and involved the home plate umpire. Riled up by being called out, Barker slightly shoved him after he was ejected. In baseball it is taboo to touch an umpire. Barker is batting .182 this year with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 66 at-bats. |
