Soto Bewilders Iron Pigs in 5-0 Shutout Wednesday, June 24th , 2071 Gabriel Soto hurled a fine game for the Scranton WB Yankees at Coca-Cola Park today, holding the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to 5 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Scranton WB manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 5-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Lehigh Valley manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." In 15 starts this season, Soto has recorded 6 wins and absorbed 7 losses. He has pitched 101.1 innings, allowed 93 hits, struck out 106 and has a 3.29 ERA. |
