Lamoreaux Bewilders Bulls in 1-0 Shutout Sunday, June 28th , 2071 It wasn't easy but Cecil Lamoreaux made it look that way. Lamoreaux silenced the Durham Bulls, 1-0, in a Charlotte Knights triumph at Durham Bulls Athletic Park today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Lamoreaux said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." This season Lamoreaux has a 4-5 mark in 12 starts with a 5.03 ERA. He has given up 85 hits in 82.1 innings, struck out 74 and issued 33 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .267 batting average against him. |
