González Slams 5 Hits for Akron Sunday, August 10th , 2070 Akron defeated Erie today at Jerry Uht Park. The star of the game for the Aeros was left fielder Carlos González. His hitting heroics included a 5-for-6 day, paving the way for Akron's 17-3 triumph over the SeaWolves. Carlos González flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Shunji Nakamura in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Hidetada Yasuda in the 8th. So far this year González is batting .236 with 4 home runs. |
