Yara Goes on Rampage Against Flying Squirrels Tuesday, August 12th , 2070 Cristo Yara said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, and it showed in the box score. The Harrisburg second baseman had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, leading his club to victory, 9-8. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Yara said later." Cristo Yara doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a sac fly in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date, Yara has collected 130 hits for a .323 average. He has posted 13 home runs, scored 59 runs and driven in 67 runs. |
