Boone and Shang Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, August 19th , 2070 After an intense confrontation, both the Thunder Tim Boone and the Flying Squirrels Ling-kung Shang were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Trenton-Richmond game. Tim Boone will miss 4 games, while Ling-kung Shang was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tim Boone commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Boone is hitting .228 with 6 home runs and 29 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .303 clip and scored 23 runs. This year Shang has compiled a 5-7 record with a 6.58 ERA. |
