Rowdy Players Suspended by League

Larry Davis of Erie and Tommy Guzmán of Trenton were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Davis will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Guzmán was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.

For the year Davis has hit .143 with no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 2 runs.

Thus far this season Guzmán has compiled a 11-8 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 129.1 innings and striking out 122. He has held the opposition to a .249 batting average with a 3.90 ERA.
