No Late-Season Magic Coming: Portland Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 10th , 2070 Manne Laitila said he will do everything he can to ensure the Portland Sea Dogs make the playoffs next year. The Portland player said it is "devastating" to miss out on the playoffs in the final week. The Sea Dogs have missed the playoffs 59 times in their 61 years as a Eastern League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2063. In the last 10 seasons, the Sea Dogs have only made the playoffs once. |
