League Suspends Moore and Leal for Fisticuffs Saturday, May 9th , 2071 If there wasn't a history between James Moore of Bowie and Paco Leal of Harrisburg, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Moore said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Thus far in 2071 Moore is hitting .240 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, 14 runs scored and has compiled a .316 OBP. In 6 starts this season, Leal has picked up 1 win while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 27.1 innings, allowed 34 hits, struck out 21 and posted a 5.60 ERA. |
