Saturday, August 23rd , 2070
Tennessee Smokies right fielder Dave Melton had a magnificent game against the Chattanooga Lookouts today, rocketing three balls out of AT&T Field to help the Smokies take the 9-8 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Melton went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Tennessee manager said later. "Seems like Dave found his home run stroke today."
Dave Melton grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Martin Taylor in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Alfonso Balderas in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Alfonso Balderas in the 11th.
