SL Names Escalante Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Monday, October 6th , 2070 The Southern League announced today that Ed Escalante has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2070. The Chattanooga starter had everything working for him this past season as he breezed to a 11-6 record. In his award-winning season Escalante crafted a 3.66 ERA in 169.2 innings with 102 strikeouts and 32 walks. Opposing batters hit .287 against him in his 27 starts. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10.
