Great Stroke: Uchida Gets 5 Hits Thursday, June 1st, 2051 It was a parade of hits for Masakado Uchida of the Inland Empire 66ers at Arrowhead Credit Union Park today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Uchida finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the 66ers to a 9-2 victory. "Uchida was really good and we were really bad," groaned Quakes manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Masakado Uchida singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Uchida is hitting .267 this season with 1 home run, 17 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 150 at-bats. |
