Season Ends for John Clark of Salem
Monday, July 10th, 2051
John Clark of the Red Sox just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Salem right fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans recently at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Clark suffered a torn calf muscle while running the bases. The Red Sox medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months.
Clark is hitting .168 this season with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 119 at-bats.
