Marauders Manny Gonzáles Down and Out for Year
Sunday, April 30th, 2051
The doctors have spoken and Manny Gonzáles of the Bradenton Marauders didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gonzáles sustained his season-ending injury during the Charlotte Stone Crabs game yesterday at Charlotte Sports Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Bradenton medical staff reported Gonzáles had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.

Running the numbers on Gonzáles for the year, he has made 7 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 14.25 ERA. In pitching 12 innings, he has totaled 8 strikeouts and 17 walks.
