Williams Rips Quad Cities for 5 Hits Monday, April 27th , 2071 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Burlington's Jeff Williams made it happen today against the River Bandits. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Bees to a 7-6 win at Community Field. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Williams said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Jeff Williams hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. Williams is hitting at a .387 mark this season. His stats show 1 home run, 13 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played 17 games for the Bees. |
