Riverdogs Get Zilch in 5-0 Loss to Braves, Anderson Sunday, June 28th , 2071 Allen Anderson dominated the Charleston Riverdogs with a brilliant 5-hit shutout in a Rome Braves 5-0 triumph at State Mutual Stadium. The Rome hurler fanned 4 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager. "He really kept us in check today," Riverdogs skipper said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings." So far this season, Anderson has a 11-2 won-lost record with no saves. He has made no relief appearances, logged 112.1 innings and fanned 80 batters while fashioning a 3.85 ERA and allowing the opposition a .257 batting average. |
