Vargas June's Best Bat Choice Wednesday, July 1st , 2071 Rafael Vargas is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Charleston right fielder joined that select company when the South Atlantic League announced the results of June's voting. Vargas totaled 37 hits, 13 walks, 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 24 runs scored last month to put together a .394 batting average and .477 on-base percentage. Vargas is currently hitting at a .372 pace with 16 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
