Hartman Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Monday, July 13th , 2071 The Batavia Muckdogs stopped the State College Spikes today 9-4 and Ben Hartman collected a base hit yet again. The Batavia second baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hartman told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Ben Hartman grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Hartman is hitting at a .316 pace with 7 home runs, 51 RBIs and has scored 56 times. |
