Pérez Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, May 12th , 2071 Manuel Pérez has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Aberdeen center fielder picked up 1 more today against the Tri-City Valley Cats and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Ironbirds won the game 5-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Manuel Pérez grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Currently Pérez has 3 home runs and a .355 batting average. |
