Harcourt's Hit Streak Soars to 42 Games Thursday, July 2nd , 2071 The State College Spikes stopped the Williamsport Crosscutters today 5-3 and Brent Harcourt collected a base hit yet again. The State College right fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 42. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Harcourt told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Brent Harcourt doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this year Harcourt has hit .380 with 15 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
