Hit Parade: Brewer Pops 5 Hits Friday, July 3rd , 2071 Chris Brewer was sizzling at the plate today. The Aberdeen catcher blistered the Rocket City Trash Pandas for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 14-12 defeat. "Brewer was too tough to get out today," Trash Pandas skipper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Chris Brewer hit a two-run home run off Carlos Colón in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. For the year Brewer is batting .358 with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
