20-Game Hitting Streak for Johnstone Thursday, July 9th , 2071 The hot bat of Blue Fish second baseman Roy Johnstone continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 3-for-4 in today's 10-8 loss to the Trash Pandas at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Roy Johnstone singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In his season totals, Johnstone has 11 home runs, .420 BA, .488 OBP, 64 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has played in 62 games. |
