Warburton Blisters Shaker Heights Wednesday, July 23rd , 2070 It was a good day for the Foghorns at Kindrick Field as they clipped the Shaker Heights Very Small Bears, 18-3. It was tremendous day for Alexis Warburton, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 6-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Cleghorn first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Alexis Warburton singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Warburton has collected 40 hits for the Foghorns this year, 2 of them home runs. He has also netted 20 RBIs and scored 24 runs while batting .325. |
