González Goes 5-for-5 Against Lynchburg Saturday, August 9th , 2070 Esteban González did a number on the Distillers in the Cleghorn 15-0 victory today, and the number was 5. The Foghorns shortstop banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Kindrick Field to lead his club past the Lynchburg Distillers. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Esteban González singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Alejandro Acevedo in the 8th. So far this year, González is batting .455 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
