Moreno Rewarded with 2070 APP Outstanding Hitter Award Tuesday, September 30th , 2070 The manager of the Cleghorn Foghorns said he thinks Félix Moreno is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2070 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Appalachian League Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .362 batting average and a .463 on-base percentage this year. In 55 games he piled up 81 hits, 18 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs, 42 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 16. Pete Graham of the Kingsport Mets finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Pedro Sotelo of the Bluefield Orioles finished third.
