Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Young Tuesday, August 29th, 2051 AZL lost to the AZL Cubs 8-2 at Peoria Sports Complex today, but Reid Young kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Mariners center fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Reid has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," AZL manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Reid Young singled in the 1st, walked in the 4th and flied out in the 6th. This season Young is swinging the bat at a .257 pace.
